Pure Silk Jacket Size Guide

Find your best fit for the Pure Silk Jacket from Living Silk.

This pure silk lightweight jacket is made from pure opaque silk and is designed to sit elegantly over dresses, skirts and other special-occasion outfits. It is an open-front style that does not meet or fasten across the body.

The jacket has three-quarter sleeves that can be cuffed back, with a slight collar.

How the Pure Silk Jacket Fits

The Pure Silk Jacket is designed to be worn as a lightweight outer layer rather than as a close-fitting garment.

When choosing your size, consider the outfit you intend to wear underneath the jacket. If you are planning to wear it over a fitted dress, allow enough room for comfortable movement through the shoulders and arms.

Because the jacket is open at the front, bust measurement should be considered primarily in relation to the shoulder, arm and overall fit of the garment, rather than expecting the jacket to close across the bust.

The nature of the opaque silk also means that the jacket falls softly over the garment underneath.

For the most accurate result, compare these garment measurements with a jacket or lightweight outer layer that fits you comfortably.

Measuring Yourself

For the best result, take your measurements while wearing light clothing or undergarments similar to what you expect to wear beneath the jacket.

Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape measure comfortably level.

Waist

Measure around your natural waist without pulling the tape tightly.

Shoulders

Measure across the back from one shoulder point to the other.

Sleeve

Consider the sleeve length as well as how you would like to wear the three-quarter sleeves. The sleeves can be cuffed back for a different look.

Choosing Your Size

If your measurements fall between two sizes, consider how you intend to wear the jacket.

For a more relaxed layer over a dress or outfit, you may prefer the larger size. For a neater, more streamlined appearance, you may prefer the smaller size, provided the shoulders and arms remain comfortable.
