We have noticed that you are located in [Country], would you like to be navigated to our local store.
Since 2002, we have been helping ladies from all over the world find their Mother of the Bride / Groom outfit. From chatting with ladies online, over the phone, and in store, we discovered that almost every lady wants a little something to cover her arms and shoulders. As a result, ladies opt for a dress or top with sleeves or a jacket to complement a sleeveless dress or top.
To ensure every lady feels comfortable and confident as the Mother of the Bride / Groom, we stock a range of boleros, jackets and coats to suit all kinds of personalities and styles. All exude a feminine silhouette and are designed without buttons and zips, so they complement what’s underneath instead of covering it up. Both opaque and sheer silk organza options are available too, so you can pick the one that feels most like you.
Our boleros, jackets and coats are pure silk that has been intricately hand dyed and hand woven. Not only does this fabric give off a lovely lustre, but it’s breathable to wear; it’s comfortable in the cool air that an Autumn / Winter wedding can bring and light enough to wear at a Spring / Summer wedding (not to mention it provides you with sun protection!). All in all, they’re perfect for all seasons.
If that wasn’t enough, our boleros, jackets and coats are also extremely versatile! They can be worn with garments in our collection, or over something you already have in your closet. Then, again and again after your time as the Mother of the Bride / Groom (think concerts, a night at the theatre, enjoying cocktails with friends, or even a high tea).
This blog will discuss the different boleros, jackets and coats in our collection, highlighting their colour options, what makes them unique, and the best ways to style them.
Scalloped Bolero
As the name suggests, this cover-up features beautiful scalloped edging. It has a soft, curved structure that falls just above the waist—creating an elegant look for a Mother of the Bride / Groom.
Made with sheer silk organza, the bolero allows your dress or top to shine through and as a result photographs beautifully.
It is best paired with our cocktail dresses as it creates a perfect balance.
Pure Silk Organza Jacket
Our first style of jacket sits slightly over the chest and falls open at the waist. It’s distinctive features include cuffed ¾ sleeves, a slight collar, and panelling on the edges. The Organza Jacket is not designed to meet - it opens at the waist to show your dress underneath.
This jacket is available in sheer silk organza and opaque silk. Either one is a wonderful accompaniment to our cocktail dresses, tea length dresses, and gowns.
Cocktail Silk Organza Jacket
Made from silk organza, this jacket is sheer elegance. It fits similarly to the previous jacket, sitting slightly over the chest and falling at the waist, but has the addition of an opaque pure silk trim.
Unsurprisingly, the cocktail jacket complements our cocktail dresses; it also pairs beautifully with top and skirt combinations such as the Camisole and Evening Skirt.
A great addition to your wardrobe for those special occasions!
Organza Coat
If you’re looking for a cover-up with a bit more length, the Organza Coat is for you!
Sitting just below the knee, this sheer garment exudes elegance and sophistication—just what a Mother of the Bride / Groom wants for the wedding they’re a part of.
Not only does this coat give your final outfit an extra layer of detail and luxury, but it photographs like a dream. The features that make this coat so special include: a classic collar, ¾ sleeves that cuff back, cornelli lace detailing, and a feminine fit that cinches at the waist and flares out at the bottom.
This coat can be worn two ways: with the hook and eye clasped to really show off the coat’s silhouette, or without so the coat can sway while you walk. Either one is utterly stunning.
We hope this blog helped you get a gauge of the boleros, jackets and coats we have in our collection, and why they’d make a perfect addition to a Mother of the Bride / Groom outfit.
